Our full school community has been bowled over by the standard of food provided by Academy since we moved over to their service. The quality is exceptional and consistently so. In fact, the only complaint we have from parents is that their children are now spending more on food because it is so good, but are really happy their children are being provided with such quality. When I spoke to the team who run our canteen, they said they were really supported in the move over and feel highly valued. I can recommend all what is produced and could not say what would be my favourite dish.

Winston Churchill School

At the Winston Churchill School we are really pleased to have an association with Academy to deliver our school food provision. We have worked with Academy now for close on a decade, recently engaging their expertise for another 5 years. The food on offer to our students and staff has been transformed over this time, both in product and environment. Academy’s management have carefully listened to what we have sought to achieve and delivered that over time. Their investment in our students has been extensive, making them feel valued, provide choice and nutrition but more importantly also supported them in aspects of their education. 

We have easy to contact relationship management at Academy, who we meet at least once a month to review performance and discuss ongoing strategy.  The staff onsite are pleasant and hardworking and for a hospitality environment experience less than expected turnover.  Our arrangement is very much a partnership and working closely together we have been able to achieve so much more than we could have anticipated at the start of our association.

William Brookes School

William Brookes School have worked in partnership with Academy since September 2010 to provide catering facilities for our students and staff, and for external events.

Their work providing catering for our students has made a significant difference to our meals service. We’ve seen an increase in take up of school meals and feedback from students, parents and staff has always been very positive. William Brookes also operate a Community Theatre called The Edge, and Academy have provided facilities for audience members that have always been to a very high standard.

The onsite staff are very much part of the William Brookes team and consistently go above and beyond to support the needs of the school.
Communication has always been to a very high standard and underpins our effective partnership working, I have regular meetings with the onsite Catering Manager to discuss day to day school issues and at least termly meetings with the divisional management team, this significantly increased, and became an invaluable resource, during the lockdown period due to Covid and subsequent return to school from September 2020.

Services have always been extremely consistent and mirror our own school ethos of continuous improvement. They have provided a nutritionist to run theme days at the school promoting healthy eating and frequently trial a range of new initiatives, such as promoting food from different countries (and in different languages!) during Modern Languages week, all of which help maintain the students interest in the food being provided. I would have no hesitation in recommending Academy to any school looking to improve their catering resource.

Our partnership has now been extended. This decision was made very easy because Academy, in essence, provide a great service, a great product; and that is the absolute heart of our work with Academy.
